^Exactly. It was a lot like that. Gottfried and Norm are both highly underrated in terms of doing stuff like that.

"No it's not."

If you watch the full unedited set, all the comedians are on the floor laughing. The audience laughs maybe twice. I thought it was brilliant and it only gets funnier as it goes on. Took a lot of balls to do it too.

McBain starring Christopher Walken is simultaneously the worst movie of all time and the funniest. If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about.

The Shot
The shot of that kid with the mustache on the jury may be one of my favorite one-off gags of all time. I died laughing.

Film Criticism
Don't change what you guys are doing here. I come here specifically to read what a film critic/cinephile thinks, because I think like a film critic. I can't read the "everyman" Roger Ebert BS because it never goes deep enough for me. 95% of all major newspaper critics will just say "oh yeah the acting

Stones songs? Its either Wild Horses or Ruby Tuesday for me. Much love for Paint it Black and Gimme Shelter too.

Totally agree with the HBO statement. Fuck, now I want NBC to drop the ball and HBO to pick it up.

So I give up my right to criticize because I went to go see it? Nope, sorry. I won't deny that I want a movie version of Watchmen, done well. That's what I was hoping for, that's what was promised, and it wasn't delivered. So I will claim that it was unnecessary, because its impossible to claim that without HAVING

I agree with that Geddy to a certain extent. My whole thing is why didn't he go all the way? By the time the hype machine started, the backlash against WB would have been huge if he had said one inkling that they fucked with his vision for the flick. In that case, go all out, shoot everything cause we only get one go

Wow, I thought I'd get torn to pieces for this. I did over on JoBlo but they're a bunch of fanboys (I guess I am too in a different way?) But I agree with everything Jorge and Peachfuzz said. And when Laurie did that I was shocked at how contradictory it was. It invalidated everything that supposedly separated

Blecch
I'm so sick of everybody saying that we can't be critical of this movie, just because we finally got an actual Watchmen film. I don't automatically give Snyder credit for going against what everybody else said and trying to film something its own creator calls "unfilmable." Terry Gilliam and a bunch of other

"This is about calling the CHARACTERS in the movie "[the] Watchmen," not the BOOK or the MOVIE which clearly DO have that name. I feel like I have to use CAPS, because this apparently OBVIOUS POINT seems to be ELUDING some of you."

Me too. It seems like Tasha does also but she's unable to come out and say it.

Nah, fuck that.

…have you read it Shout? Obviously not, because like Sister says, they ARE NOT called Watchmen. That's what this movie is gonna be about though: simplification so everybody can understand and feel nice and smart and relevant at the end when they should just READ THE DAMN BOOK BECAUSE ITS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE.

A Triumph the Insult Comic Dog reference… nice

My ordering:

"So, Smith will be forced to create a screenplay that makes sense AND is coherent? That'll be the day."
