McBain
Who here has seen McBain? When I read the line "batshit craziest movie ever" I knew it had nothing on McBain. Rabin, you need to get on the McBain train now.

I'm a rarity in Star Wars random in that my favorite is ROTJ, but I won't deny the greatness of Empire.

Come on people!

Well this year we have The Reader, one of the most blatant Oscar bait movies I've ever seen. Its an insult to my intelligence and the American people that a movie that with mediocre reviews across the board got nominated over something like The Wrestler, the Dark Knight, Wall-E or Waltz with Bashir. Moving on, Crash

I KNOW HOW TO FIX THE OSCARS
Stop nominating shitty movies.

The Full Quote
The full quote, as posted by several other sites, is actually "It's happening if I have to call him up and say 'get on set now, young man.' Trust me. Michael Cera is on board." A little less sure, sounds like he could be joking or he believes he has sway over Cera. I'm still not sold but I wish it was

Great interview
With a good up-and-coming young actor. Love what he's done with Riggins on FNL. And I feel like I'm the only one pumped that he's playing Gambit.

Well on a recent show Jericho cut a promo on Rourke so I wouldn't be surprised if this was Vince McMahon trying to keep things hush-hush after Rourke spilled the beans at the awards show.

RIP
Was introduced to his work in a philosophy course. Dissecting his short stories for their philosophical roots was truly satisfying. A great writer, he'll be missed.

Whats the difference between a truck full of bowling balls and a truck full of dead babies?

That's Cosmo. He's Chinese.

How is it done if the shows creator and entire cast save for him want to make the movie? They're not moving on and almost everybody involved has heavily publicized the movie to the fans, the show was killed before its time and I see no reason why we should be satisfied with that. If it was something where they said

Definitely the last bit for me. I've got no problem with the guy but it wouldn't kill him to the give the fans who made him a star the ending they're asking for. If he eventually passes on it though expect the backlash to get ridiculous.

Yeah Snyder tried to amp the fans up by saying his original cut was over 3 hours, but I couldn't help but thinking that it'd be about 80 minutes with all the slow-mo taken out.

Rabble Rabble, here's what I'm afraid of. Instead of Option 1 ("it sucks") INSTEAD we get option 1.5, which is it sucks to everybody who read the novel, but everybody else thinks it kicks ass in a really trendy faux-intellectual way. I'm talking frat boys who want to masquerade as a nerd for a day (see: 300 and TDK

"Remember when you were with the Beatles…. and there were all these clues… and you were supposed to be dead… that was a hoax right?"
"Yeah, I'm not really dead."

You and I have different understandings of what a book should do, so I can't tell you when it will get "exciting." I don't care if a book ever gets exciting. If it's thought-provoking and has artistic meaning, I can get by without a fight every two pages. And that's exactly what Watchmen is.

OK AV Clubbers…
For this movie? Against it? Have you read the book first? I for one have read the book and I'm all for a cinematic adaptation, but I have my doubts as to whether its filmable or not. We're already not getting Tales of the Black Freight except on the DVD and I just feel like some of the key areas (the
