@avclub-68c81a145181a6b3092221895a3fd1a9:disqus Really?  That's the first that I've heard about an option for more.  I am suddenly more optimistic.

I wish more animated shows had shitty jitterbug jazz.

Doesn't Jeong Jeong make it sound like it's something only a special few can do?

That's the only one that's genuinely made me laugh audibly (really, it was more of a guffaw).

@avclub-3c2ddf2682d61814f0b7a96ca8b9e84f:disqus I'm pretty sure we see him waterbend during that raid.  Also, the Republic City game confirms that he is a waterbender.  Awesome side note: it appears that, after you complete the Republic City game, the things you unlocked stay unlocked.  You don't have to click through

You've given voice to some of the things I've been thinking.  The abbreviated seasons don't allow for these characters to breathe.  And I don't mean this "you like her but you REALLY like me!" nonsense.  I would not have minded, for example, an episode where Korra tries to go around Republic City fighting/arresting

I remember feeling the same way about Aang regaining Avatar State powers in the finale, though I never thought to characterize it as an asspull. So, points to you.

So, what are we making of these flashbacks?  What's causing them?  It seems like every time Korra is around Amon these days, she's having another flashback.  Is Aang trying to break through to her in these moments?

Great point about Lin and Avatar Aang.  I hadn't thought of it at the time, but it makes sense that she would be offended seeing someone that she (presumably) looked up to come back as a self-important, privileged teenager.

I have a feeling that airbending would have been difficult to translate into game mechanics in a satisfying way.  But I also think that a co-op brawler in the style of that old X-Men arcade game (or Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) would be amazingly fun.

While I have to agree that last week's episode was a bit of a stinker (that doesn't seem to have any lasting repercussions, at least at this point), I will admit that I love the shitty jitterbug jazz.  I'm in favor of shitty jitterbug jazz in all of the episodes.

I don't know.  I don't think Aang had ANY problems that Katara couldn't solve!  Y'know… with sex.  They had a lot of sex, is what I'm trying to say.

Fucking Hasook.

@WithPurpose The Legend of Zelda. Fluh!

I know this isn't exactly what you meant, but a Ras/Talia al Ghul-type dynamic between Hiroshi and Asami would be super-cool.

After Pema's bit part last week, I found myself wishing that we would see a little more of the two of them together.  I am still wishing for that.  I would have love to have seen him trying to explain to Pema why he was spending the evening with Lin Beifong.

It's also refreshing that "Doing the Right Thing" resulted in a loss.  They were penalized for being honest (but also got to keep their bending)(suck it, Tahno!).

And, like someone mentioned somewhere else, you don't see a view of Asami and Pops when the shit goes down.

Yeah, I feel like they're holding back on her story intentionally.  There's going to be some twists to how we currently perceive Asami down the road.

Was that the female counterpart to Simon?  The Korra cosplayer reminded me of Velma from Scooby Doo.
