They are different types of angels. Theologians over the centuries have tried to rank or categorize angels. Some put regular angel angels at the bottom, with seraphim at the top. Others say archangels are at the top.

I've been away from this thread for a couple of days, so I don't know if anybody will read this. But 1st Edition is, was, and always will be the best. I played 2nd Edition and it was OK. I played 3rd Edition and it made sense with the d20-ness and all. But, man … those 1st Edition days back in the '80s.

@Dren - Yes, I have that 1st Ed Deities & Demigods with Cthulhu and Melnibonean chapters. I bought it from a dealer at Gen Con a few years ago.
