I'm an angel. I kill firstborn babies while their mamas watch. I turn cities into salt. I even, when I feel like it, rip the souls from little girls, and from now till kingdom come, the only thing you can count on in your existence is never understanding why.

good question
"Why send all of humanity to kill this baby when badass Gabriel was on his way anyway?"

You left out a Hoongadoonga. The most important one, too.

I have seen it since and it does lose something by me no longer being 12 and the year no longer being 1980.

Agreed. She has been portrayed as humorless. Maybe someday "If You Will" will find its way to Comedy Central. Or the YouTubes.

Although "There Will Come Soft Rains" can be left out of a movie without really losing anything, I always thought it was haunting and sad. I actually felt bad for the robot house as it died.

I liked her.
I thought she was funny back in the day. Haven't really heard much from her lately, besides the political stuff, but I would watch her new special.

Now I'm curious, stza. Which quote did you want to use?

Gigglesnort Hotel! Now there's a show I don't see mentioned too often. I watched it every week as a kid. IIRC, it was on Sunday mornings.

NSFW!

back in the day
I watched the "major NBC-TV presentation" (as my copy of the book informs me) and I thought it was pretty cool back when I was 12. There were some good scenes.

As long as they keep this part …
"The Martian appeared before me and said, 'Give me your boots.' And I gave him my boots and he said, 'Give me your uniform and all the rest of your apparel.' And I gave him all of that, and then he said, 'Give me your gun,' and I gave him my gun. Then he said, 'Now come along and

I actually think that's not a problem, but a benefit. They don't have to adapt every single chapter of the book. They can pick and choose the stories they want to tell.

I kind of like this one:

J. Barleycorn, you are right. I think the writers used "flagship" to mean "pride of the fleet". I guess you could argue that she would have been an admiral's flagship in time of war, but the only admirals that ever came on board were guests or passengers.

Isn't this where we refuse to choose, and get shot so we can prove our loyalty to Jeebus?

@hatin … She something else, isn't she?

not good
I knew it was going to be bad from the trailers. What I want to know is, what's Salma Hayak doing in it?

Tiffany
I remember the "I Think We're Alone Now" video. She looked like she was covering up quite the rack. Or maybe that was just my wishful thinking?

I know Wil Wheaton used to write video game reviews for this site. Any chance he could come back as a special guest commentator for these TNG recaps?
