Wow. You need a regular column on AV club. I'm not being sarcastic. I thought nobody unironically liked mid to late '90s music. Try to sell it to us. I don't think you'll succeed, but I would applaud the effort. I like to root for the underdog.

Ye gods. Speaking as a drunkard, this album is the musical equivalent of Zima. It has not aged well.

I think Kurt and some other savvy people had anticipated that pop culture was about to enter a phase in which it would be mainstream to consider yourself outside the mainstream. These people were never ambivalent about stardom, they were just savvy enough to get ahead of the curve in adopting the appropriate

The concept of "the accidental rock star" was always ridiculous to me. Nobody becomes a star by accident. Kurt took all the necessary steps to make it happen.

Yeah but Nevermind was produced like a Motley Crue record, specifically Dr. Feelgood. Kurt said so himself. If he didn't want to be famous then why have highly commercial LA glam-metal production values on his first major label release? The mythology says all that glitzy production on Nevermind was beyond the

Yeah, the first episode is the weakest. Episode 2 is much better and after that the show is great.

This show kicks ass. I really think it's destined to be an enduring cult classic. I want more episodes.

Not me. When I lost my desire to stay up with current trends I had no problem admitting it. I always knew it was going to happen someday so it didn't phase me when it did. Today I see little reason to try to stay current when most "cutting edge" music is for a younger demographic and the allegedly hip music that is

Speaking of influences, the British folk acts I'm currently into are ones that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page were into during the heyday of Zeppelin.

I know the feeling. I've recently gotten into old British folk – Incredible String Band, Pentangle, Bert Jansch, Fairport Convention, Comus, Nick Drake. Digging up moldy musical artifacts is now what passes for seeking out new music for me.

Music was great. Then that Cobain pussy had to come around and ruin it all.

As a shareholder of Philip Morris stock, I'm ecstatic to hear Joni is on the mend.

By 1980 it was cheekily contrary to say anything positive about disco, so you could argue that Lydon was being a true punk by praising disco at that time. Lydon might have been aware of this.

I'm six episodes into Other Space and I think this show has the makings of an enduring cult classic. It's brilliant.

Reposted Avenged 7x Fan will love this.

Kent Woolworth is funny. That first conversation he had with the captain was the funniest part of the first episode.

It's lame to dislike/avoid something solely out of spite, but spite is fine when used to add flavor to negative feelings you were going to have anyway. Case in point: the 3rd wave of ska. Any reason to disparage that shit was fine by me.

Breaking Bad lives up to the hype. It's really good.

I had some friends who had a semi-religious mission to get everybody to like Jawbreaker. It was really off-putting. I already had little affinity for pop-punk and having it shoved in my face just made me gag on it.

I watched 3 or 4 episodes of the first season of Game Of Thrones and it was a real slog, but I stuck with it that long in hopes it would get better. I meant to continue but didn't get around to it. Still haven't.
