It's funny how this isn't even close to being the best Tom Bosley joke on the show, that honor goes to Homer 1. referring to his father as Tom Bosley even though 2. he's in the middle of reminiscing about a Happy Days episode that 3. he believes is real and 4. happened to him. The mindfuckery is exquisite.

To @fineoakstructure:disqus 's dissention above, this really does make the joke. Legs is the perfect character and voice for this because he's too stupid and stolid to do anything BUT what you'd expect, i.e. "two Krustys!" But that also sells the joke, he really does see four Krustys and apparently suffers from

@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus WHO AM I? WHAT AM I DOING HERE?

I dunno, for some reason we don't meet Admiral Ackbar until Jedi and Star Wars seemed to do OK.

@avclub-7440107dd1103351e1c1ef647f404655:disqus  preach it, brother.

@avclub-8d2583b317ce1bd4962cec8605c5676a:disqus hooray, another hater! I probably dislike Big Fish nearly as much as I like your movie, which is saying something.

And as alluded to above, Walsh completely sells it, to the point where he can no longer pull back from the insanity he uses to convey the "unraveling."

Only one has Coal Chamber. Unless nu-Disqus consigns our comments to a coal chamber.

"Better the blind man pissing through a window than the prankster who leads him thereto."

Yeah, I'm remembering watching Big Fish (a movie I hated and still hate) and being furious at the reveal of Buscemi's bank robber becoming a Wall Street con man being played for laughs, and the audience eating it up. This was at the same time as everyone losing their shit over Ken Lay and Enron, I didn't think a

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at (and @avclub-0ba495c0d6ccefc9408a35fdef2a689e:disqus gets at better).

They fetishized their failures in the best possible way (also, one of the singers broke up with another singer to get into a relationship with a third singer; they later married and then divorced, imploding the band). I highly recommend them, their sound is countryish indie rock, maybe early Rilo Kiley or Okkervil

I think it's you. The reason confidence games and movies about them are both successful, I think, is that everyone thinks they're the one who can see through the con. In the movie there's a vicarious pleasure of watching the setup and even if there's a twist ending you don't see, at least you didn't get fleeced. For

Ha, I can't imagine Westlake giving that much time to such a stupid idea.

Benning is crazy hot in this, in both senses of the phrase.

My money, take it!

@avclub-de4a08d644135b09bd7e1a592dff156b:disqus Against Me?

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus I'm going to have to question your nomenclature, if you were in Boston the term was clearly "queah."

He seems to be going for the Charlie Day look, I hope he is poisoned by his constituents.

The notes for The Mendoza Line's second album quote several negative reviews from their first album.
