I'm such a fan of the Clouzot that I've never been able to bring myself to watch this. The same holds true with the film adaptation of Ishiguro's 'Never Let Me Go'. That book was so damned perfect that the experience would be impossible to duplicate.

I absolutely loved this film. Despite the unavoidable comparisons to The Artist , this is a different beast. Maribel Verdu's performance as the wicked stepmother is worth the price of admission alone.
You might be thinking of Eight Seasons. It combines the trad. Four Seasons with the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla. Saw it performed at Symphony In The Barn in Durham, Ontario. Amazing. Available on Nonesuch records by Gidon Kremer / Kremerata Baltica.
