Oh I agree that it's not the best example of Old-Time Radio, and it's not my favorite thing ever either. However, I think it is the most well-know (at least in the midwest) of radio dramas, and that's why I thought it odd that it wasn't mentioned, if not as a suggested gateway, then perhaps in the "Where not to start"

How has "A Prairie Home Companion" been left off this list of gateways? Not only do you get the old-time radio drama skits, but you may also have a possible gateway through the guests that week (actors or musicians or otherwise). Not unlike "The Thrilling Adventure Hour" in that way. Is Garrison Keillor just too lame
