No joke: I'd never heard of this show until right now, and the title, lead photo and opening paragraph actually got me thinking this show has comedic promise if it falls closer to a ZAZ throw-everything-at-the-wall style than the Freidberg-Seltzer thud-reference-thud model.

Was the last Falconer the one with Kevin Spacey where they keep going back in time to stop Donald from being killed and failing, until every cast member was on stage as the Falconer?

Actually, I'd (honestly, no joke) recommend watching through the end of the 5th season and treating 'The Incident' as the series finale.

Man, when you read it imagining the Ahn-ld voice (as you must) it takes FOREVER. At least 5 times longer than normal reading. And the flop sweat? That's just glandular. Don't ask.

I love the subtle shout-out in the character name Bester, as Alfred Bester wrote probably the quintessential man-left-adrift-in-space-to-die sequence in "The Stars My Destination." Great book, and great to see it getting called out like that!

DEPARTMENT OF SIMPSONS REFERENCE ENFORCEMENT: Okay, I know @hornacek's line is from when Homer has a T-shirt that reads "Stockdale for VEEP" (Perot's hilariously awful '92 running mate). Was the HAIG thing a joke as well? If so I don't remember it. And that's just unpossible. Also, Lisa needs braces.

@avclub-c6447300d99fdbf4f3f7966295b8b5be:disqus I take no offense. I would be livid of someone tore apart my favorite books, no doubt. But that's why I wrote what I did, not so much as a hater but as someone genuinely curious about the details you find most endearing and appealing. Maybe it didn't come across that

If I were to choose one heralded novelist/director/artist/etc. where I just don't get what everyone else is talking about, it's Pynchon. I read The Crying of Lot 49 this past winter, and at only 150 pages it was a CHORE to read.

As someone else pointed out, some Netflix players (like my BluRay) limit you to seeing only 100 episodes for some reason. If you want to watch an episode that's not on the list, you:
1. Turn off your device (BluRay, etc.)
2. Pull up Netflix on another device that will let you choose every episode (computer, iPhone, etc.)
