Actually, it pretty much is. If we have the quantities x and x - a, where a is some constant, then the two quantities have the same limit as x goes to infinity, and their ratio x/(x - a) goes to 1 as x goes to infinity.

Now, if having muscles turns out to be a negative to the superpowered people—because of the nutrient cost in making them or something—then you might expect to see decreased muscle mass in future generations, if it actually affects their reproductive success.
