I agree that I like the "Previously on" bits. It's impressive to me just to keep a joke running for 5 seasons and still have new takes on it ("Here's what went down last week on Shameless…")

Rackham is actually the character I identify most with on the show. He's pragmatic and well spoken, but he's also extremely loyal. He seems caught between the Scylla and Charybdis of women here, and there's no way he doesn't end up losing something, which adds a lot of tension for me watching.
**** Sexuality spoilers ?!?! ****
Anybody else watching Black Sails still? I'm disappointed the AVClub dropped coverage.
Tip your bartenders well, in nice quiet bars.
Dude. Shameless. I'm the resident straight white guy here, but I fully believe that two gay men on Shameless have been the greatest couple on television period for the last two seasons, even if not the couple I'd most like to watch have sex.
I'm giving it negative connotations because it serves so little useful purpose as to be almost irrelevant, but I can mentally attribute a spiteful motive to it.
That's actually a good idea reading it back. First person to come up with a funny web comic making a joke about how "trans" is slang for both "Effeminate man" and "Butch woman" and have characters confused about/trying to explain it like "You just don't get it." gets to share credit with me if it takes off in X…
I understand that the labelling may be harmful to an individual when they perceive it has some negative implication. Nobody is really offended by "Soandso is of average intelligence" if they in fact are. I think "black Brad" in your example should get less racist friends, because constantly doing that is a socially…
Because I'm a straight, white, hetero, cis, male, on the higher end of the economic spectrum, from a christian (catholic) family, with > 16 years of Catholic education, but I'm intellectually aware of the concept of argumentum ad populum, and that being a majority does not necessarily make anything right.
Depends on when you said "hey let's hang out soon" and when he suggested Sunday and when he does get back to you. Valentine's day was Saturday, and that can be really awkward for a "person I like" situation with no rules to it yet. For the record my new thing had said she wanted to ignore it, but I'm a sap, so I…
Whatever it is, feel better kid. It's been interesting and at times entertaining reading your stuff here, and you deserve to.
I'm with Dik. I only relatively recently (within the last year?) heard the term "cisgender" and I liken it to a minority calling me "Honky" or "Cracker" today without provocation. I mean it's accurate, but it's pretty absurd in conversation.
Whatever the specific thing was you liked about the person mention that. "Hi, I saw X and decided I wanted to message you. I like X (for Y reasons). I'm so-and-so and these are little details about me. Would you answer this specific question regarding more detail about what I was interested in? Tell me more about…
I'm not on OKC or Tinder, but I can't help but notice here that you didn't actually answer the questions. Inquiring minds want to know.
What's with all these restrictions? "Dial down the madness," "Unless she's batshit insane or [I'm] a horrible person," "No hair or scab sculptures."
I feel like the world has turned upside down, and that I have to reevaluate my life if I'm trying to suggest anything to idiotking about porn or crazy sex, but there's a lot of cuckolding porn out there for a reason, and plenty of men who want to watch someone fuck their wife. I would also never advocate meeting…
They certainly did, but they meant it as a compliment. Any female friends of her boyfriend also said it, but they meant it as an insult, unless they were also in the industry.
I missed the start of this one. Where do the names Good Ol Boy and Luna Chica come from? Reminds me of some people, and I might get a kick out of it.
Couple things: I'm not sure what "this point" is but try not to sweat too much. I did an internship in my field between So and Ju years then a lousy summer job the next, and then stumbled out the gate at graduation, but I bounced back and then some when I got a good opportunity.
