I agree that I like the "Previously on" bits. It's impressive to me just to keep a joke running for 5 seasons and still have new takes on it ("Here's what went down last week on Shameless…")

Rackham is actually the character I identify most with on the show. He's pragmatic and well spoken, but he's also extremely loyal. He seems caught between the Scylla and Charybdis of women here, and there's no way he doesn't end up losing something, which adds a lot of tension for me watching.
