Sure, but aren't these two things related somehow? Can't O'Neal see the future? The important thing is that 1) I don't know what's going on in the world and 2) O'Neal is here to make it all better.

If the Brexit is what it took to bring us O'Neal, then I suppose I'm for it.

It is completely free. You can resell / transfer as well.

My understanding is that the free discount codes (which I'm assuming are not stackable) is good for ANY ticket at any time. But I tried three of my different "Free Ticket" voucher codes for the Jeff Beck thing, which is definitely on the short list of Nashville shows… no luck.

Anyone else successfully used a voucher yet? I just tried to use one for the Jeff Beck show in Nashville, which is definitely on the list, and it came back with an error telling me to refer to my Voucher restrictions. It was lawn seats. There literally aren't worse seats to request, so not sure what happened there.

The Popeye soundtrack is amazing. He Needs Me is fantastic. Swee' Pea's Lullabye. All great stuff. PTA's use of He Needs Me in Punch-Drunk Love was icing on the cake.

Yeah, it's a weird place to project the understandable frustration of the author. I cannot envision a scenario in which Letterman would have been given any say in his replacement.

My only takeaway from this is that Samara Weaving is in the second season, despite (SPOILER ALERT) having (SPOILERED) quite spectacularly in the first season. Her obvious good looks aside, she was really fun on the show and seemed very game to throw herself into the Raimi / Campbell madness. Glad she's getting another

Oh, I've got bad news for you. Don't Google what the kids have been up to. Not pretty.

Yeah, Gail sowed some diseased seeds, no doubt. Diseased Seeds sounds like one of the terrible titles she would have overseen from the archives, actually. Frankly, it's a miracle the four Zappa offspring are functioning members of society in any way.

True. Which is why I'm a GREAT father.

I was a huge Zappa fan in college (the time when it makes the most sense to love Zappa). I still enjoy much of his instrumental work, though far more sporadically. It's interesting that this was posted here (branded ent of some kind, for the PBS special?) and not the very public family squabbles that have arisen since

I will say that The Avalanches were much higher-profile (especially overseas) than most of the bands the A.V. Club triumphs upon their return. I swear the majority of those are just post-punk 90s acts that were, at best, reasonably popular in the Chicago area for a few weeks. Avalanches at least sold hundreds of

I loved this movie like crazy as a college student in the mid-to-late 90s, and Carlos Jacott was by far my favorite part. I was convinced he would be a huge comic actor. Last time I checked, he was writing for that USA show Psych. Glad he's still working, though I really wish he had found more roles like this one.

That's a solid old classic soft-rock reference right there. Kudos.

Nicky Katt is amazing in The Limey. I've only seen that movie once, in the theater (15+ years ago?) but I remember him well. "Oh yeah, they really need that thing over there. Get a move on."

Wait… Chet Hanks/Haze is in this? WTF indeed!

Too controversial! Instead, I went the more typical waste-of-college-tuition route and wrote a lengthy essay examining sociological End Times / Apocalypse trends in late 80s America as reflected in children's films like "Monster Squad," "Big Shots," and "Heavyweights" (the latter a 90s movie, but still).

Michael Sembello also played guitar in Stevie Wonder's touring band in the 70s, so he's made multiple great life choices.

I saw him twice and my reaction was the same. I've seen hundreds of concerts, but none had the same level of just total awe-inspiring ridiculousness. He commanded every person's attention the entire time with everything he did.
