I've often felt the same, but fortunately he's so prolific and ADD-riddled that none of these goofy side projects seem to divert that much attention from his traditional work. Like many, I eagerly await the return of the mighty Cardinals, though I'm sure that whenever he gets around to it, he'll also insist on

I honestly don't know what a DJ does. Does this guy make this music with his synths and computers and stuff or does he take samples of old records and make crazy mix-em-ups or something. That used to be a thing, right? I'm being 100% serious right now because I am 100% old man. I have all of Ryan Adams albums because

Once upon a time, I thought she was likable off-screen as well. I remember her SNL hosting gig being fun and charming. Was that 100 years ago? When did everything go south for her? Coldplay? The kids?

I've "liked" all these comments just for the halibut.

Yes, because despite the presence of record stores and all-you-can-eat buffets in our hometown, we were aware that they had vaguely different versions of those same things 10 hours away. Plus, the go-karts were faster in Dallas.

We were in Nashville, so Dallas was drive enough for us. Plus, it should be noted that this was the first real "road trip!" for most of us, so we would have been happy to go just about anywhere. That trip will remain a high point for me well into old age. The "Stand By Me" thing, only without any dead bodies.

Every sentence of that post improved upon the sentence that preceded it. That is an amazing story. Also, do people in Poland routinely have to take their visiting friends to Auschwitz? How many times has your friend had to accompany someone? I guess that's why they set up the burger stand. Give the locals something to

Are there any colleges still on the quarter system? I went to Univ. of GA very briefly in the mid-90s, and I didn't know anybody else on that system, and I'm pretty sure they were in the process of switching to semesters as well. I do remember it seeming easier, though. Shorter terms and all that.

Yeah, it was ridiculously early that year for whatever reason. And now for another delightfully sad fact about that particular trip. Rather than go to the beach, where there might be women and wine and such, my buddies and I went to Dallas (!) because I had spent some of my childhood there and knew the city had tons

I was so obsessed with the Coen brothers as a teenager that I took a picture of my TV when they won an Oscar for "Fargo." For some reason this made more sense to me than just recording it. Oh, that's right, I was on a Spring Break trip at the time, so I didn't have access to a VCR. Yup. Just a college dude on Spring

Yeah, Henry Phillips is really funny, and "Punching The Clown" is a great, breezy little movie. I used to do terrible standup, and Henry came through my home club all the time. He was really encouraging and kind to all the open mic'ers and young upstarts. A really good, genuine dude who deserves tons of success.
