Of course he has a diamond-mining company in Africa.

Bathing in the sanctity of your outrage isn't going to bring anyone back either, or clean up a disaster site - it makes you feel good for being too pure to dare sully the memories of the victims by beginning to critically engage with the circumstances that lead to terrorist attacks beyond EVIL, but it does fuck all…
I'd just be trying to keep from people how happy I was.
*Throws knife-gun in trash, slumps shoulders*
There's more than enough guns and knives to go around. We don't need to choose!
Ok so you want to talk about Pavement and it turned out this was not the place for that, even though maybe it could have been. I'm sure if you wait around long enough, someone somewhere else on the internet might just talk about Pavement again and you can have your moment. Being annoying isn't going to will that into…
LOL
Okay that was pretty rad - very Leatherface.
Nice. I don't have a comprehensive knowledge of the guy's discography, but I do turn to Bubblegum and Blue Funeral quite a bit.
IIRC, Heller may have confessed in some Loud column or something about a guilty taste for some of this stuff (but maybe not your favourite bands, I don't know), so who knows, it may happen. It may not be positive in its appraisal, but there's a fair chance it will happen.
I'm only coming to some of this stuff after the fact (curse you post-hardcore, hiding your good bands with a crummy post- genre name and terrible band names), so this is much appreciated in filling in gaps as sometimes just looking up disconnected lists of related bands doesn't really suffice.
Used to when i heard of them but hadn't heard them yet. It didn't even really change until I heard and enjoyed both of them. Now it all seems so clear!
Naked Raygun are the the tops. They're one of those bands that can get me to check out something mediocre when another obscure 80's or 90's record gets dismissed as derivative of them (like the pre-Tar Blatant Dissent etc..)
Neat - will check out
Helmet and Tool aren't quite but it's not like it's that far from the reservation either, and there's probably some punk in the DNA if you go back far enough. I prefer the latter two (esp. Helmet) to Bad Religion, even.
I don't really care for the earlier stuff at all (it's a particular strain of punk rock I never really warmed to), but there is some good sounds on their 'MK II' albums.
Adequately not from America
Or you could just feel inadequate for being the type of useless wanker who has to go out of their way to be slighted just so they can feel someone else is talking about them for once.
Ah nuts. NZ soccer wants to live vicariously through Ryan Nelsen, and this just doesn't help.
Yeah, I don't the new scrummaging is without it's issues, and refs will probably lose a little control as teams figure out the new system, but at least without the hit, it will actually be possible to look at/work on everything else - I'd like to see crooked feeds treated like not throwing the ball in straight to the…
