This episode was a show of carnival-esque debauchery, involving absinthe, a racial stereotype, and issues of fidelity.  Obviously inspired by turn of the century french novelists such as Dumas, Flaubert, Baudelaire.  (jk)  Referring to Sankrit dramaturgy, the 'rasa' that this episode represents could be Shame.

The editing for this episode was rather disappointing.  Perhaps they didn't have enough material to work with in the first place.   The quick cuts between characters on this show is a poor excuse for bad writing, and the awkwardness between the characters is not believable and likewise not very entertaining.
