Agreed.  The ending of season 5 is the best ending they could have hoped for.

That was my experience too.  I liked one, it was surprisingly pleasent.  I had no idea what the hell was going on in two and just kinda moved on with my life.

I have pitched Firefly to multiple people as "the further adventures of Han Solo."  That's not exactly accurate, but I feel it does convey a lot about the ambiance, as @avclub-79557cb93066f4470b8cee6e9110f757:disqus said. 

Dance party, or rampage?  The rampaging was a big part of the appeal for me.

So, he finally did something right.  Ann was dead weight since day one.
