Miranda.

Kill. Everything.

Kill. Everything.

Make a man out of a mouse!

Make a man out of a mouse!

"He triiiiiiiied to kill me with a forklift!"

Joel was the best host. Mike was superior when he got to play random roles in the host segments (see Torgo the Pizza delivery guy, The Amazing Colossal Man).

Idiot control now!

Extra Extra! A.V. Club can't be asked to cover Canadian comics! Discrimination alleged against flappy-headed seal-clubbing writers and publishers!

I dunno man, I don't think you can make an accurate gender-based statement like that. Tons of women are into splatter-gore, torture-pr0n, dark fantasy, survival horror, every kind of horror-movie subgenre you could think of. Tons of men too. Saying otherwise is really just a broad generalization.

Happiness of the Katakuris just qualifies as one of the best zombie movies of the decade, hailing from 2001.

Pontypool is excellent! Very atmospheric and eerie - and the concept is well-executed. I didn't think that it got a very wide release outside of Canada - y'all should try to check it out on DVD/Bluray if you haven't seen it!

Also it has a semi-supersecret cameo by Cate Blanchett (as Janine who breaks up with Simon Pegg at the start of the film).

Misfits is by far the most enjoyable show I've started watching in 2010. Please watch this show if you were ever let down by a Marvel movie project.

Pattern Recognition is my favourite Gibson book. I initially thought Spook Country was on the weak side, but upon rereading it in preparation for Zero History it gained a lot.

Every time a new Scott Pilgrim book comes out, I hope that the AV Club will drop the graphic novel prejudice and just do a goddamn real book review of the book, IN THEIR BOOK SECTION, so that we can all discuss it in the comments section.

Peanut Butter, the dressed-up dog!

I saw the SHIT out of it!

he punched her in the BOOB!

No, Scott Pilgrim is totally a genre-bender, it's an action movie/romantic comedy. With much breaking of the fourth wall.
