Frankly the funniest thing about this story is the idea that IHOP actually uses real maple syrup in any capacity in any of their locations.

This is without a doubt one of my favourite tracks ever recorded. So happy to see this shout-out! Erik Adams - my new BFF.

I fucking love Edgar Wright. It's no exaggeration to say that he has been at the top of my celebrity shag list since my first encounter with the Spaced special features a decade ago.

Hawk the Slayer is RUBBISH!

I 100% agree on the 70's, underground, sci-fi vibe that emanates from Brandon Graham's work - I met him at a convention and we had a great time talking about Dirty Pair (and Dirty Pair doushinji).

I did a costume one year as the Church Lady from SNL. I was maybe… 10? I had the perfect wig, and I did all the lines on demand - "Could it beeeeeeee, SATAN??"

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a grown woman who's a big fan of stickers… anyhow, a large number of the stickers used on the set are from this book (which is amazing, and totally worth buying): http://www.amazon.com/Stick…

CHIEF!!

I would become a gay man for Wallace Wells.

How have I forgotten young Joshua Jackson until now?

On my second date with a very cute Rick Moranis lookin' guy I met on OK Cupid, we discovered that we are both commenters on the AV Club.

Yakko and Milton Berle never really got along, I hear.

Take back your mink! Take back your pearls! What made you think I was just one of those girls?

I have never successfully been able to stay angry after listening to "Getting Mighty Crowded" - it's like the ultimate fuck you song.

I'm always searching for books with strong, individual female protagonists, and this series has three.

Not sure if my previous comment got taken down by AV staff? I'm not sure why that would be.

I was initially put off by some of the reviews, but I watched it out of boredom, and the movie was significantly better than I was expecting. I'd say give it a chance…

Watch it again, or I'll break your back!

Moo moo moo!
Moo moo moo!
I am a cow!
Moo moo moo!
I have bells!
Moo moo moo!
I! Am! A cow!

The question of whether to read the footnotes in order - or to flip around in the book from note to note to poem to note – has always been one of my favourite aspects of this amazing book.
