I'm just working up a thick head of foam now…

The sections of Sidney Lumet's book Making Movies (http://www.amazon.com/Makin… that deal with his trials and tribulations while shooting The Wiz are highly informative and entertaining.

I love all four notes of the Assault on Precinct 13 Score.

El Zilcho - ex-fucking-zactly.

Gina Torres was in the original M.A.N.T.I.S. pilot, the one that Sam Raimi/Sam Hamm first wanted to make before Fox flexed their muscle and the Sams walked. It was almost… blaxsploitation superhero stuff… really strange. I mean, I love Raimi, and most of it worked, but… the two comedic African M.A.N.T.I.S. sidekicks

The Guy from the Lotto Girl Interview
Didn't it seem like he was doing kind of a Jim Gaffigan bit? You know what I mean, in his standup, how he sort of murmurs quietly to himself…

I liked the falling tanker truck with "DETAIL-ORIENTED" written on the side. And then it sploded!!!

Oprah… Uma.

I think Kate Capshaw edges out Rebecca Pidgeon in this category. Married, unmarried, she only got the part because Spielberg had the hots for her. And she damn near ruined that movie for me.

I must admit, I loved Meet the Feebles too, despite much wrongness. The panty-sniffing aardvark was, um, permanently disturbing. I think I've probably been waiting my whole life to see puppets fucking in a movie. But I'm still glad that Heavenly Creatures was the first Jackson film I saw.

TSA - loved it, esp. about halfway through when it really picks up. It's hard to beat the rawness of the original, but I love thinking about Bowie listening to and loving that track!

I can deal with it, I don't get into arguments anymore, but I get a little twitchy every time I hear someone badmouthing Death Proof. Sexy girls, Kurt Russell, The Coasters, Zoe Bell stunts, a 1979 Dodge Charger, graphic violence. And Quentin Tarantino makes them do a motherfucking lapdance for you. What else do you

Pork'n'beans, thank you so much for saying that about drupes so I didn't have to.

Even in Keystone Studios films, Chaplin is incomparable. In his own films, pretty difficult to diss.

It says so. Right here.

Mr. Show would definitely be at the top of my sacred cow list.

I love Singin' in the Rain, but I'd be just as happy to endlessly re-watch Top Hat, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Calamity Jane or a good performance of the Mikado. Gilbert and Sullivan would probably be one of my sacred cows.

Phil Hartman - also fucking great in Toonces the Driving Cat and Tonto, Tarzan and Frankenstein sketches.

busy busy busy

Kids, are you hugging the TV again?
