I agree with Genevieve's observations that Fred's death and Jared's contrived dying confession are kinda clumsy, compared to the usually subtle, mature, and clever way The Americans unfolded plot lines. I also think Arkady tipped off Stan intentionally to fail the Echo operation, in order to secure his leader status

The lunch scene and the Stan's secret drop-off site for ECHO info were filmed in Prospect Park. Tell me if I am wrong!!!

This episode is much weaker than last one. The clueless boyfriend plot never makes sense to me. Why can't the writers just make Timoney a strong and independent single woman? An emotionally detached character such as Timoney doesn't look like a relationship material. She could have a few affairs and flings throughout

Guess it's a common Arabian/Muslim surname? Seen a few foreign politicians named Marwat on news through the years, mainly from South Asian countries .

Thanks for the tip! I totally forgot CBS is the mother company of Showtime. It's still a very smart casting choice, consider the closeness of time slots of these two shows and probable overlapping targeted audience. Seeing the character being tortured in a previous 'incarnation' on another show reaffirms sympathy.

I liked this episode much less than the previous eps until I read this review. It might take viewers who have been parents with small kids to fully appreciate the emotional undercurrents.  Can't say much about the plots, but as someone grew up eating dim sum chicken feet almost every time at Cantonese restaurants, I

Has anyone noticed the actor who plays Danny Marwat is the same person captured, tortured & interrogated by the CIA then killed himself on Homeland? That's an interesting coincidence.
