Like dropping a deuce? Was that a very vague poop joke you just made?

Same! I don't quite know if it's as good as the half of In The Loop I saw (if nothing else Veep reminds me I still have to finish the rest of Mr. Unspellable's oeuvre) but I thought it was very clever, and JLD was great.

It's easy to be fond of a guy who's never around to blame for all the shit.

I'm just going to assume you're talking about this one.

It may have been a meta-joke, since a lot of readers mispronounce it as "Quarth." But Martin's never been that particular about the linguistics of his world…a lot of in-show pronunciations are determined by the actors who say the lines.

You don't actually *have* to make any corrections, you know.

That was pretty spot-on. Now I want to play this game - GoT noir with bullet time!

@avclub-8a5c1121fe24ecbeab48c97b07dec712:disqus I'm pretty sure ravens were never used IRL to carry messages. They're ridiculously smart, hence probably a little too independent to be used for a simple task like carrying something from point A to point B. Plus, I think homing pigeons have a natural homing ability,

Doubly hilarious because Mike is apparently terrible at his job, so the insults just come off as impotent resentment.

She made kind of a comeback recently. I can't remember what her first return role was, but she had a small part on White Collar.

Dan is basically how I imagine all DC staffers to be like IRL.

This is weird. After Cheney's "go fuck yourself," the Nixon tapes and various LBJ quotes, I assumed politicians swore like sailors when the cameras and mikes weren't on. Though I guess they're pretty much on all the time now? Too bad, future America, no more salty behind-the-scenes talk for you.

As a leftist, the thing I really find irritating about liberal-ish political shows is when they go relatively easy on the Dems, who really deserve more of a hammering. It's what's soured me on the West Wing over time, though it's also probably still one of my favorite shows too. Way too much Mary Sue/wish-fulfillment

I'll break from the majority here and say it's not really that bad. It's only truly bad when compared to The Office's season 2 and 3 high points. The bad thing about this show having unrealistic characters is because its humor used to come from real, human disappointments, like, a constant stream of them. The

Such an easy fix to make that scene remotely buy-able; the fact none of the writers chose (or thought) to write it like that drives me fucking nuts.

Whenever I hear it it's always "part Cherokee."

Mohicans (film) definitely did the whole white appropriation, add brown for ethnic spice thing, but it also made a fun bodice-ripper out of a novel most famous (perhaps) for inspiring a really awesome Mark Twain takedown.

Metapedia says it's "pro-European", and lists counteracting the ADL and the SPLC as part of its mission statement. What the hell?

Drama Queen Treadwell got a magnificently overblown bit of dialogue, too: "You'll do what? Not invite me to the parties you stopped throwing? Not introduce me to the celebrities you stopped calling? Your empire is crumbling, my queen. News choppers are circling Grayson Manor like so many buzzards…waiting for an old
