Didn't mind the Shirtless Artist plot as much as everyone else seems to. The problem's not really that it muddies Victoria's "one lost love" connection to David Clarke, so much as it duplicates that plotline for her character a bit too closely. I don't mind it. Real people have more than one important ex-lover in

Takeda's got to have his own motives for wanting to destroy the Graysons. Either it's personal, or Grayson Global did something terrible to him. The backstory as I envision it is that Takeda, pursuing his own revenge, ran into Emily and decided to turn her into his own little revenge missile aimed at the Graysons.

Apparently you've never been to Lake Havasu in summer.

Mark Antony? Though Tobias Menzies would have been cool too. Hell, Polly Walker probably would have made a pretty great Victoria, if Stowe wasn't already killing it.

You're probably in the minority on Van Camp, but I always figured Fauxmanda's weird voice was the actress covering up some kind of Eastern European accent or something.

I was thinking the exact opposite during that scene. She looks tallish (hard to tell for sure on screen), but she's skinny as shit, has no body mass.

At that point I usually just start measuring by the bottle.

Yep. I think it's the agony of things like that that inform her character at the end of Storm of Swords.

Exactly - if you've got the cast-iron balls to orchestrate a blatant, self-serving lie, the logical extension would be never, ever admitting it under any circumstances.

BOOK 3 SPOILERS

Explain? I feel like there's something I missed.

On a re-watch, looks like there was at least one goldcloak in Lorch's band.

I read that scene as Sansa being frustrated and flummoxed at being stuck with a lady in waiting that didn't know how to play her role, since Sansa has been spending a lot of time focusing on playing her own role. Not irritation at not being rendered the proper service she deserves, by any means, or badgering Shae.

All your objections are a bit rich coming from someone who shares a name with Thomas Hobbes.

I think Pete, Roger, and Lane are all at risk. Before you mentioned Roger I was obsessing over whether it'd be Pete or Lane, I was sure one of them won't survive this season.

Faking it often works. People like Don can summon it by an act of will or just exude it naturally, and that's better.

@avclub-b375786aed7b1004301789840f10e36d:disqus I question how rewarding a platonic friendship between a high school girl and Pete Campbell could really be.

Ill-timed or not, that looked like a pretty great kiss. Worth it.

Taking you seriously for a second, I doubt anyone at that office is voraciously reading dozens of sci fi pulp mags.
