Hopes and dreams crushed.

I'm posting two months later to say shame on you for not calling the crossover Orange is the New Orphan Black. SHAME.

*Pearl gets up, moves to a seat at the back of the room*

I think one of my favorite things about this show is that it hits the nail on the head re: what it's like to be a kid. The comments the grown ups make in his life around him, whether disparaging his favorite show, or the whispered conversation between Amethyst and Pearl last episode, or Greg's panic attack when he

Ha! Right?

The problem with the Incredibles is that they had their message right there - everybody's good at something, do that and be special in your way. Syndrome was clearly good at inventions, which Mr Incredible completely bashed which was kind of a dick move on his part and I think was supposed to be dickish.

Ugh. It's like listening to your grandpa talk about "THOSE people". You're just silently saying nooooooo.

Oh, man. So, I really enjoy the Outlander series. Strong lady roles, lots of good sexin', yaddayaddayadda. But good Christ, does it have some seriously problematic messages about homosexuality and non-Christians (as well as some shady shit re: marriage, but it's written from the POV of a woman from the 40s going back

We will never have QI. The BBC has determined that Americans are too stupid for QI. Check out John Hodgeman's complaint on Youtube about the lack of QI and the Brit's assumptions about the American intellect.

Agreed. Also, Squeee! Can't wait to see this trailor when I get away from the oppressive stream blockers of my workplace!

Yes, please! And they fight crime!

Yes, they can be. But when they're on, they are quite good.

That Guy With The Glasses
I love the AV Club write-ups, and Adams you seem like a cool guy and a good writer, but I think Doug Walker's Nostalgia Critic (and his counterpart for the ladies, Lindsay Ellis's Nostalgia Chick) does this look-back-and-see-if-it-was-any-good stuff better.

Also — smooth or crunchy? I can't abide crunchy myself.

On wheat bread (because on white the sandwich becomes a giant, sticky ball in my mouth. Ugh). Untoasted. A nice, THICK layer of JIF (only JIF) on one side, and a copious amount of jam on the other. Can't do jelly, because it doesn't spread well. Grape, strawberry and blackberry are best, blueberry or currant if I'm

I remember both of those toys, BAG! I had a puppy surprise myself.

Charlie Murphy's Prince story.

Damnit
I want to see The Life Zone, as I'm sure it will be fun times. But I can't justify spending money on it, as I'm sure the proceeds will go towards keeping me from my sweet, sweet abortion fixes.

I'm really hoping that it is established that benders of any element can come from any nation.

I'm all for this show
Nothing is better than feeling superior to the guy who keeps tigers as pets and eats rattlesnake just 'cause. Fuck that guy.
