Drunken Argument

On the contrary- I think that the longer Blake had to sit there, the more likely he would talk himself into keeping RaeLynn.

I have some sympathy for him though- the judges go on FOREVER about how proud they are, and this is not the end but the beginning, etc. etc. And Carson usually tries to prod them politely to keep it brief before he starts getting snippy with them.

I loved Ashley's performance, and actually thought the rock slant on the song really worked, and emphasized the angsty crush the song should have had but Jewel could never pull off.

Anyone think that Jesse Campbell got set-up in his song choices?
He was best when he has something that moved and could showcase his range. Gospel songs, R&B/soul, Motown, anything in that world would have been perfect for him.

I'm not sure where all the love for him comes from either. Even in this performance, which was suppose to be his "letting my hair down! See me naked and vulnerable America!" shot, his performance was still super technical. When he tried to drawl or kinda throw away syllables, he still hit every single consonant.
But

My admiration for Aubrey, while hyperbolic, is genuine. She's the best player this game has ever seen- a chameleon who all the other players hate but are always convinced that she should stick around.

I agree that Lisa's attitude and actions towards Dayana are nothing short of disgusting, but I can't agree that her hysterics are merely an act. She's a comedian, not an actress, and considering how one-note her performances are, it's hard to see how she could simply turn on the waterworks or emotional breakdowns at

This was the first time I felt genuinely sad for Dayana. So what if she's worthless. She didn't deserve that.

Any song that could be done by quiet, incoherent mumbling is her kind of song.

I kinda loved the fact that Tony embraced his inner-creepiness. I felt the dictator-chic of yesterday's performance was put upon him, but when he got his chance to growl and make creepy faces, it was kinda exhilarating.

@avclub-130f14e3e5c0263f013b56d8c212f26a:disqus And I almost forgot! The real reason why Arsenio will outlast Penn- he's still sitting on a blank Leno check. 0% chance he doesn't use that next time there's a fundraising task.

That's a great point. The creatives always seem to take the most heat when the team loses (unless you can hypnotize everyone into believing you're indispensable a la Aubrey).

I actually wondered how Adam would have reacted if he was in the room during the Arsenio/Lisa blowups. I can't tell whether he would have tried to defuse the situation or run as fast as he could from it.

I might switch Penn and Arsenio. Arsenio seems like a good player who's been getting better and should be able to soldier on despite (and from a producer's point-of-view, because of) his feud with Aubrey.

After burying herself within her cocoon-elevator after getting eviscerated by Arsenio, she burst forth this week as Dayana 2.0!

Free at last… Free at last… Oh Lord… We're free at last….

And Sprint is a cell-phone carrier, nothing more. A minor one at that. Why they can only accept texts from those people, I don't know.

To be fair, the rockabilly brothers would have been in the same position as she will be. Cee-lo merely kept the one he liked to look at more.

So what's the deal with Creepy-Girl? Is there actually something to her? Or does Portland's vote count double in this competition?
