I think they were fighting off bankruptcy at the time and gave away the companies most marketable properties, the complete universes of Spiderman, FF, and the X-men.

I think Fox has the rights to FF and The X-Men Sony has Spiderman. I could be wrong, but as long as they have a film in production for those properties they own em.

Definitely Avengers related, but more than likely all the future films will be Avengers related. They really don't have much left…its not like you'll be seeing an Adam Warlock movie anytime soon or anything out of left field. GOTG isn't left field.

They still have The Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Dr. Strange and The Inhumans as well as the Netflix shows that are coming out, but as far as A list properties go…the Marvel cupboards are drying up.
