Well Todd, as a girl who is exactly the same age as Jess, I can say that Lisa Loeb was definitely a favorite of mine in high school. Stay is still one of my favorite mainstream songs of the 90s.

I think the idea behind Stanley's dress was a good one, but, as someone mentioned above, the proportion was all wrong. Maybe if he had made it short, it could have worked, but it made the model look weird to have the top so long.

Portland, represent!

I have to say, I honestly don't get people's fascination with Patricia's collection. I was impressed with Patricia, the person, and felt proud of her, but as soon as Amanda said her clothes looked like what you see at the hippie store in the mall, that was all I could see. Almost every piece looks exactly like a nicer

Yeah, if they wanted to go art over commercial, they should have done it last season with Fabio.

I think Les Miz works as a movie, but I would never buy the soundtrack or want to listen to it. I hated Mamma Mia. I thought Meryl Streep had a terrible voice and I am completely bummed she might ruin Into the Woods. I know I am in the minority here, but I actually loved Sweeney Todd and have listened to the

And this is why I refuse to watch any of the "Warbiscuit"-type movies, Marley and Me, Life of Pi, etc and always leave the room whenever Will Smith's dog or Artax, etc die. Can't handle it (although, by all means, kill all the people you want).

It is so strange to me too. I mean, why can't the designers make a final collection aimed at older women or plus-sized women? They shop too. I get it if the designer claims to be designing for someone young and their clothes look dowdy, but that doesn't really seem to be the case with Stanley.

Stanley - Is there a rule in the Project Runway handbook that says you must
design for 21-year old models? I don't understand why Stanley couldn't
just say that he was designing for a more mature woman. Then they
wouldn't have to be changed as much. That being said, I really liked Stanley's lacy jacket and I thought

Yeah, that definitely seems like a good description. And I, for one, would totally buy that coat. In fact, I might look for it in Portland when Michelle wins. I love the idea of a messenger bag that just connects to my coat, because I despise carrying purses around.

I have to say, I enjoy a number of the "skilled competition" reality series, like Top Chef or Project Runway, but I have never understood people's love for shows like The Bachelor or RHOBH. To me, they just look so boring.

The song toward the end of the episode was a Blind Pilot song, from the album 3 Rounds and a Sound. I immediately recognized it while watching the show, but now I have forgotten exactly which song it was.

Okay, this is only semi-relevant, but I have been looking for a way to bring this up and Anna Kendrick seems as good a reason as any. Has anyone heard that Disney is going to do an Into the Woods movie? From what I hear, they are going to have Meryl Streep play the Witch and I do not like it one bit. Anyone else heard

They could do an All-star season where they bring back all the "out-there" designers and let them go crazy. That would be really fun, actually and maybe we would get to see Frokemon again.

So agree with your last point. So much better to see what they can do with time and money then what they can accomplish with neither.

It was a weird conversation. There is plenty of fashion that isn't wearable (although I would still say is beautiful). A lot of Alexander McQueen's stuff isn't "wearable" for anyone in the real world, but he is one of the most celebrated designers of our time.

Has anybody looked at the final collections? They've been up on tom and lorenzo for awhile. They aren't assigned to any designer, but there are two that I could see being Patricia's and they are both just awful. The one that I have claimed for Portland is the best.

I agree. I generally prefer interesting to well-made but boring (assuming the interesting is also well-made, unlike Patricia's outfit last week). I think they made the right decision, although I wouldn't have minded if they had just had two designers this time, as it seems Michelle and Stanley are the obvious

I personally vote for "My Baby Shot Me Down."
Edited: Crap, someone already said it, and probably got the title right.

I agree, and as is constantly pointed out by tv critics, the longer a comedy show is on, the broader the characters get, so sometimes it's nice to have a "boring" straight man to balance all the crazy. And, as other people have pointed out, any time someone gets married to a non-regular, it is almost always near the
