I don't give a fuck about nostalgia.  The Simpsons is still a genuinely funny, excellent tv show.  That's why my friends & I watch.  Internet talkbackers & this Sullivan chap are in the minority with their negativity.

Let's not forget Angier reading to the end of Borden's journal and realizing it was all a trick!  More foreshadowing & another thematic microcosm for the experience of the film itself!

Oh, this is so perfect.  The movie works on so many levels exactly *because* of reactions to it like ^this^.

The hats give it away.  The hats in the very first shot, later recalled by the electrified cat.

This is accurate, @avclub-ca6cb47da12090ffd2470daf51f71be1:disqus  , though I'd say The Prestige is Nolan's best by a wide margin.  If Rebecca Hall's character arc had been handled better, this'd be a perfect movie.

The "twist" is foreshadowed by literally the first shot of the movie.  You must have been in the middle of what my old platoon sergeant calls "a dumbass attack" while watching The Prestige, @avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus .

Yet again, I fail to get all the negativity.  This episode passed the one true test for comedy tv shows: It made me laugh like hell.

I don't get any of this.  Came back from some travels, had 3 or 4 new episodes of Community waiting for me on my dvr, watched it a few days ago, and none of it made me laugh.  At all.  It's a bunch of nerdiness & colors stealing my life 22 minutes at a time, and I'm saying that as a Joel McHale fan.
