He's great in early Wahlberg-ish roles: rough-hewn poor underdog guy who knows he's probably not smart enough to improve his lot and thinks he's not worth enough to deserve it, anyway

Been in his corner since Step Up, noticed his rockin bod even before that (thanks, She's the Man standee) and knew he was capable of great things since Recognizing Your Saints. When he says "You think I don't know I'm nothing?" in Fighting — it's exactly what he was born to do.

I got a brigand stuck in my tower, breaking it forever.

Because writers' rooms are such non-hostile working environments.

Yeah, it was Kevin McNally, I think. Gibbs from the Pirates movies.

Please go back to actually talking in-depth about movies and not this "'The Avengers' got us thinking about who our favorite cinematic archers are; here to talk about that now are…"

Yeah, I was psyched that they seemed to be making Heaven on Earth intentionally mediocre. The line about Trump was spot on for bad current mainstream Broadway lyrics, especially since Norbert Leo Butz had to sing "I want to be like Trump / two hundred pounds of caviar in one gigantic lump" in the embarassing "Great

Really liked some of the writing tonight. A lot (obviously not all) scenes that could have ended in melodramatic cliche (Tom leaving fundraiser, Tom admitting he's seeing someone, Ellis' gambit) were undercut with people acting like people — Tom's boyfriend smiling as he left, the sportsgay laughing, Eileen shutting

I'm worried that next week we'll actually find out what "Heaven on Earth" is about, and I won't be able to have fun speculating. I always wonder what it and the poster I see for "Billy: The Musical" are about (not Billy Elliot, which can also be seen sometime. but Billy appears to be a Tom and Julia joint).

In addition to being funny, this movie is pretty sweet, and earns its character development for the most part. It reminded me of Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion.

He's like Wahlberg. You need to play to his cro-magnon strengths. Channing excels at self-loathing and realizing he's not smart enough to figure a way out of his jam.

Drives me crazy. It's such an unforced error, on their part.

2012  = Year of the Chan

Not internet-related, but I know someone who wrote for LOST who said that JJ Abrams made a rare appearance in the room one day early on so they could all figure out an endgame — and landed on the show ending with a giant spaceship flying away (that either was the island or buried within it, I can't remember).  Then
