you, sir, have made my day with this news.

the baldwin-fest that is 07/08 tv
quick, someone get stephen baldwin a tv show, so we can have all four on tv at once! like, i dunno, we could update "charles in charge," just using the original scripts. or he could just stand at an altar for an hour. that would fill up programming time!

meant to say, sigh. i am a fool.

sigh.

maybe we are the chosen.

ah, i didn't think of that. still, the alternate title is odd.

?
what does "a newman looks at the 60s" mean? it's on the words page and in the rss, linking to this article.

*?
is anyone else seeing those dagger/cross characters in a.v. club articles? especially where religion is concerned - there's another one in the "this was pop" writeup of the natasha bedingfield song about jesus. or is god just trying to communicate with me?

or, as bart puts it, "we need another vietnam to thin out their ranks a little."

i'm not calling anyone a name-dropper, it just doesn't seem like pg.99 is the kind of band that would ever get mentioned on the a.v. club; and if anyone did, it would be heller, since he seems the most into that kind of stuff.

sounds like it was time well spent, at least.

as keith wrote in the previous entry:

kids?
i'm guessing the mean age on that dvd cover is about 33. the guy on the left looks like he's pushing 40.

possible subject for hating?
the new trailer for "witless protection", starring larry the cable guy and jenny mccarthy.

COVER
why didn't this one get a shout-out for its awesome cover? i think it's the best of the lot. it reminds me of that one game, the name of which i can't remember. life cube or something. grow cube?

PG.99
hold on - did someone really just mention pg.99 on the a.v. club?

bret michaels
every single time i hear the name bret michaels, i conflate wrestlers shawn michaels and bret "the hitman" hart. i can't be the only one.

"this is a tricky grey area."

in the comic, rebecca even says that every guy they know finds enid more attractive. that dynamic got heavily altered in the movie, i think to its detriment.

plaintiff?
i'm no law-talking guy, but wouldn't he be the defendant? or is he countersuing?
