yeah, but poison is also Walt's weapon of choice.  odds are the show is fucking with us.

Nazis are a stretch. When Jesse said that Brock had been poisoned, he changed his tune from 'get your ass to work' to 'take care of yourself, come in next week'…so saying that neither Walt or Gus poisoned Brock, that doesn't stop Gus from thinking it's Walt who's behind it all.  And he knows that Walt knows his

I hope Gus survives, he's been a far better role model for Jesse than Walt ever was.  How smug would Walt be if he were the one to pull the trigger?

You say that Walt poisoning Brock is out of Walt's character.  I think it's entirely possible because of his level of desperation.  He's lost everything.  He may have a fatherly love for Jesse, but it's all very twisted and self serving.  To poison Brock to instigate Jesse, only to manipulate him into thinking it was

I'm gonna throw in Lemuria Rising by Murder City Devils for the Eddie Spaghetti name check.  High kicks!

old people be hatin'

The sincere bands definitely don't fit.  Almost always ruins the energy of the show.  I don't mind the comedy songs, but then I was one of those kids who would list Weird Al and a Dr. Demento compilation as my favorite albums.  The music comes from it's origin as an actual radio show.  They used to edit out the song

would that be CBB? the last few were ok, I think having non comedy live music has sucked a lot of the energy out of the show.  Most of the ones before that were great.

I enjoyed Heidecker on Who Charted? I was worried he was going to pull the same schtick he did on Comedy Bang Bang, but he had some great bits and his terrible keyboard noodling…I want him and Brody Stevens to join together to form a very shitty band.

Read My Lips by Jacques Audiard was the first movie that popped into my mind.  Also, A Room With a View and Me Without You are favorites.

Skins was largely written by actual teens.  While I think they tended to take their characters on much darker journeys, I think a lot of the characters were relatable and realistic.  Maybe it's because the UK teen experience is going to be different from an American teen that it's more difficult to connect to.  When

Well that clears that up!

Dear NBC,

This show often gets compared to My So-Called Life, but I would also like to throw in a comparison to Skins (UK…lets forget the US one existed, shall we?).  Both shows have their love triangles, both go between comedy and drama.  The adults tend to be inappropriate or cartoonish until an actual adult influence is

Check out the pilot.  If that doesn't grab you, then it's not the show for you.  It's a surprise gem from MTV.

I thought that how she shut Matty down and chose his best friend over him to be really harsh.  Especially since she wasn't sure that was necessarily what she wanted.  I guess she wanted to make some kind of statement, but it was kind of bitchy.  Jake's oblivious, but that had to have been a kick to the nuts for Matty.

oh…hello.

TJ, your riff train is unstoppable!

yeah, I was hoping it would be Stefan when he started to introduce the Bennett bit, but the way he delivered the hebros line and that weird smile afterwards was great.  The high point for me in a decent but somewhat mediocre episode…

The Tony Bennett bit was probably my favorite part of the show.
