I got the sense with this one that they were calling it "The Mindy Project" from the very beginning, before there was even a premise yet, and then everyone just got used to saying that. Which is lazy more than anything else, really, but it still does feel rather assholish.

I think it makes sense, given the vague premise of the pilot: it seems like SHE, the character, is the project, as she tries to get her life together.

Same here. I didn't laugh once in the first half and was rolling my eyes at Ben the whole time, so I turned it off. Maybe it got brilliant in the last 10 minutes, I don't know, but I probably won't be returning.

I was 10 when it came out, so it was in a state of being perpetually passed around when I was in high school. I never read it, though, because basically: I was in high school, so why would I want to read about high school? There are epic quests to read!
