Sounds good to me.

"Ishtar is a very good movie" I'm sorry did I just read that correctly?

Exactly, just because you can recreate an 80's setting doesn't mean anything.

Trick 'r Treat is one of the smartest horror movies of the last 25 years. It understands the tropes it is using and the standards of the genre so well that it makes for such a fun watch. It also does a great job of connecting all the stories.

I just do not get the love for The House of the Devil. It is extremely slow and takes forever to get going with not building of atmosphere at all. I feel like they were going for a Rosemary's Baby vibe but failed on almost every level.

The Roots better watch out. There might be some log trucks ahead of them on their commute from Philly to NYC in the next couple of weeks.

You have to bring your own horse head though. Kind of a bummer they don't give them out before.

Hellraiser isn't nearly as gory as its built up to be but the parts that are are pretty graphic, especially for its time. I wouldn't really categorize it as a horror movie more of a suspense but it creates a tense atmosphere.

Oh man I love Night of the Creeps. It is a solid horror movie that is so 80's its amazing. Watched it for the 3rd time a week or so ago. It doesn't get old.

Congrats on popping your cherry. Now go see it at a midnight showing!

Craig is a little too serious for my taste but he is very good with the action. I thought Dalton was just the right combination of seriousness and suave. Brosnan was suave and could handle the action scenes but a tad bit too corny, again I think that was due to what he was given to work with. Moore swayed heavy on the

Who wants more panel!?

I think I read the novel first but was aware of the musical and was kind of not expecting the nastiness in the novel. You're spot on about the musical being sanitized.

Yeah the '67 CR isn't very good at all but it has so much star power.

If only Brosnan had been given good scripts to work with. Such wasted potential during his era.

Get to tha shots!!!

While Thunderball does drag slightly and is a bit slow it does provide some great underwater sequences and has a strong villain.

I think Goldfinger is considered the "best Bond" because it solidifies every "Bond" element a good Bond film needs; gadgets, the car, a solid villian with a unique henchman, and an over the top named Bond Girl.

Its not even a so bad its fun to watch type of bad either. I'd say American Pop falls into the same category, also made around the same time, where the animation is extremely choppy and ages very poorly. They are both not worth watching.

Night of the Comet is a solid 80's horror movie but only a couple of scares. The premise is definitely original though which sets it apart from the typical slasher. Also, its Gwen from Weekend at Bernie's!
