There were a few legitimately scary episodes of Tales from the Crypt that I caught on HBO as a kid, like "Television Terror" and "The New Arrival". "Television Terror" is one of the few things I've revisited as an adult that still manages to creep me out in general, right along with the BBC horror movie Ghostwatch.

Yeah, people need to hear all those pops and snaps and shit.

I'm sure you take better care of your stuff than I ever would; I'd be hard-pressed to find a CD in my small collection pre-2008 that isn't scratched to hell. But yeah, I know CD's are the superior format when it comes to digitizing. Really didn't know flacs would be replacing mp3s though, I'll have to look Into that!

I have to disagree, I grew up pretty much exclusively with CDs - and they were constantly getting fucked up or scratched with use. I also felt like the minute you were able to burn CDs of your own, CDs became pretty worthless and the idea of buying anything new on CD was even more pointless. I don't pay for MP3s so

Guess he really hates that new baby.

Didn't they spend the whole episode trying to just take her by force and only failed because the brother foiled their plot or something? I'd at least hope no one tries to attack you/kidnap your kid while you're trying to get them home from the store.
I'm sure she would have never believed she was an alien no matter

I came here just to talk about "The Tale of the Thirteenth Floor"! SO scary to me when I was really young. It made me super paranoid about leaving my tv on at night. Definitely in my top ten, right next to "The Tale of the Doll Maker".

Yeah, my parents let me watch Child's Play way too young and I've been freaked out by all kinds of dolls ever since.

I think Pete and Pete was a part of it but it was strictly shorts.

I used to run home from school to catch Sci-Fi channel re-runs of Monsters and Tales from the Darkside way back. Good timessss.

@avclub-98ee3569ee1cc83f32587edbfb0b857a:disqus on second thought, I'm going to ask that you don't respond to this because you're just going to run over everything I say and re-assert the same lazy point again. Many of you agree about this obvious, non-issue because it's easier to do than to actually read the article

@avclub-98ee3569ee1cc83f32587edbfb0b857a:disqus You claim I'm making a mountain out of this issue, and yet when I just said I'd stop saying anything, and I'm telling you that YOU'RE the one taking yourself too seriously, you go ahead and post an entire essay long comment to run this thing into the ground? Need the

I said it would be an otherwise reasonable comment IF you hadn't just suddenly chosen this article to start saying it. I don't know why you're just completely ignoring everything I've said - maybe you're just stubborn. I don't know - but like I said in the other thread you jumped in on because you saw me "attacking"

@avclub-98ee3569ee1cc83f32587edbfb0b857a:disqus  I'd have to wonder why you think you can judge "right or wrong" any more than Heller can decide what "the best" really is.

My point was more that there are tons of articles like this, not that you were actually going to attack a "Best Of" article. It's a joke. Jesus. Christ.

I didn't miss that you said you'd say the same thing about any article making this statement - it's perfectly reasonable to comment on this subject, I simply believe you haven't done this with any other articles (and certainly not on a consistent basis). It would be hard to, and I have to wonder why you chose this

@avclub-8f1899cdb606a3c7a0aa80d617eb123b:disqus People don't like to read long comments, and tend to favor jokes over arguments. Biggg deallllll. And it does state "why" Unwound is "the best" band of the 90's…then follows up with Heller's personal experience with the band and his own reasoning of why he believes

Somehow I read your description and thought "so…I guess she sounds like a very horny baby?"

You're correct, it's "une".

I was so happy to have Rita gone. Her voice is just incredibly annoying to me.
