I don't think the problem is Elena leaving. She didn't have much to do during season 5 and 6 besides the Damon drama. Although during the back half of last season she was great.
I think the writers are really out of ideas and it's time to pull the plug on the show.
Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder and the rest of the

He did point out that he's getting screwed over again because of their mistakes…
And he shot all those glass bottles!

True. That close up shot of his face with the mask is ridiculous. Google Image Search would get you good results out of it.

ITA about the heretics.
Did anyone else notice that this group of Witchpires basically consists of :
2 mean girls who are lesbians
A black mute guy
A crazy ex girlfriend
A beaten up housewife
Enzo (but he's just there to bang Lily)

I think that's exactly what he wants.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's a virgin at this point, given that he was in prison most of his life and a soldier before that.
Caroline should have ended him. No one would have cared really.

I automatically blocked that out. What is it with shows craming in music sequences by the actors? Remember Caroline singing that song for Matt?
Or Caroline doing a karaoke show for the students when she went dark?

One thing I liked was everyone acknowledging how ridiculous the Caroline kidnap is. First Damon with the Damsel comment and then Caroline when she said "well the feminist in me wants to say no " in response to Stephan swooping her out.
Still doesn't make it more bearable to watch.

They definitely seem to be going towards a love triangle between Caroline / Stephan /Valerie but God please no… No more love triangles!
My initial thoughts on the first episode were that it was messy but hopeful. Now I'm not so sure, because instead of taking the show into a more mature direction, looks like we're

I don't know if this was a doppelganger, it seems far fetched. But the Caroline we saw at the beginning and end was definitely human. We've seen vampires get hit by stakes in the stomach before and they don't fall to the ground and faint from it…
Maybe the show is pulling a Pretty Little Liars trick and introducing a

How come no one mentioned the glorious comeback of The Fern?? That was my favorite part of the episode!

Well the weekly synopsis would have to no longer include "Michael Malarkey also stars" and that would just be sad because it's my favorite part of the synopsis!

If I remember correctly Elena was the last person to own the house. After she turned into a vampire the house was no longer protected against unwelcome vampires.

Because there are no humans in Mystic Falls! They all evacuated and no one thought it was suspicious.

Yeah Laurel standing next to the coffin in chunky heels made me chuckle. I understand not seeing them dig up the grave but at least have her do it in sneakers because it's not like she didn't know she'd end up there, and she was just at her house!

Always count on Laurel to make it all about her and make the most terrible decision (like telling everyone including her mom who is NOT EVEN ON THIS SHOW except Quentin that Sara had died last season). Let's see how much more she can fuck this up when she brings back Sara and tells everyone in town and live tweets

Let alone that he did nothing most of the time and even gave a Go Ollicity speech…

You mean like having her walk around in red all the time? (Blazer at the mayor conference, red leather jacket at all times) cause, who would notice that right?

Never forget!

Agreed again.
I'm not familiar with the comics as well but I knew that they were together in them.
It doesn't matter since Laurel is with Oliver in the comics but now we know that Ollicity is end game.
I also read that in the new comics Oliver is not with Laurel and Barry is not with Iris so the writers do have the

Glad someone else still thinks of that show.
