On the obverse, I remember reading that Bill had trouble with it early on because the culture of Southern political humor is completely mean: You berate your enemies, instead of being self-deprecating. His early Funny Dinners got reactions like Wilmore got tonight, before he figured out how to make himself the butt

If Ted Cruz can run for President, no reason all future Presidents can't be Tatiana Maslany.

I dunno, I can imagine Hillary somehow being sneaky good at it. Or maybe I'm just imagining her in 2024, after dealing with 32 years of shit from the Washington Press Corps, giving the most 100% zero fucks White House Correspondents speech of all time.

Also, he's usually got pretty great adlibs when he departs from the prepared text. He's mastered the comedians skill of reacting to the reaction to the joke.

I will say I appreciated Jake Tapper for reacting to Obama's jibe at him for 'leaving journalism altogether by joining CNN' by taking a comically large sip of wine.

Though the NCAA still boycotts it over the Confederate flag (at least since the early 2000s), with no sign of changing any time soon. No March Madness for you, Jackson and Biloxi!

Yeah, nothing would get UNC fans more agitated than not having de facto home court advantage from having opening tourney rounds in Greensboro/Charlotte/Raleigh seemingly every other year. Hell, in 2008 UNC made it to the Final Four without ever leaving the state. It'd be hilarious if this is what finally made them

I remember it being not terrible, if only because Richard Dreyfuss made an entertaining version of Alexander "I am in control here" Haig.

I used to go around on a religious right website that would do movie reviews, mostly to laugh at them. (They include a "Moral Rating" and are usually peppered with stuff like "They shouldn't take the lord's name in vain so much" and critiquing Star Trek V (the "What does God need with a starship one?" for not ending

Especially in the movie that posits not only was he the smartest guy ever hired by the NSA, but would have been in special forces except he was walking around on 2 broken legs without knowing it, because HE'S JUST THAT TOUGH. It's like he wrote a Mary Sue version of his own life.

Don't worry. When he dreams, his subconscious will show his son taking beers off the mail robot.

Would make an epic crossover with the Flop House.

I appreciate the misadventures of Jean Luc-Picard the same way.

I think my favorite part was one of them not being sure if Goober was real or fake.

RIPD GOOBAH BRO.

Yeah, it does kind of stick out for me that of the 'Big 3' of Bad Movie Podcasts, you have HDTGM's various Hollywood comedy actors, Flop House's Daily Show writers, and then WHM's random schmoes.

My favorite underrated one is probably Planet of the Apes. It's Wahlberg and Ape puns, but they're both gold. And, outside of that and Entourage, Wahlberg isn't an impression they come back to that often, so it stays fresh overall even while being run into the ground on the specific pod.

Sometimes, bringing someone up to the big leagues works. Sometimes it doesn't. (See Fantastic Four)
