Again, Dune the novel blows. If you want to read a decent Herbert book, read his first one, Destination:Void.

I understand the impact the book had on other, better sci-fi novels, but seriously, it blows hard. Plodding monomyth garbage. You want a similar type of story told with much greater clarity of vision and far more interesting ideas? Read Dan Simmons' Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion.

I think Nathan read the Noonan character slightly incorrectly. While he did seem to take a great deal of care in describing jesus' torture, at the end of it Noonan had tears in his eyes. That made the whole thing much more nuanced, I thought. This doctor character was a true believer, not just a monster who liked

Unfortunately, UR SO GAY is, I believe, a call out to text messaging, and not a profound statement on the origins of mankind: Ur meaning "proto" or "original" and often related to human or myth, thereby "Ur so gay" meaning "origin stories are very gay" which is a treatise I would be interested in reading.

Ah yes, Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss. Any family who was obsessed with A Christmas Story (ours was one) tracked that movie down and watched it. I found it odd, but it had its moments. Especially Randy whining "I wanted the last tomato!!" I didn't realize some people eat tomatoes like an apple.

I also loved drunk n' giddy Don's hat hair. Made him look extra silly.

This firstie wasn't too bad, it actually made me chuckle. But "good" Hodgkin's is still Hodgkin's.

30 Rock had me at "I'll take ALL the hot dogs" which is like the 3rd sentence in the pilot.

Yes, I knew I would love it. But the biggest one for me was Blade Runner. That had been hyped to me for years, and when I finally saw it, I loved every frame of it.

well, then, you obviously need a totem.

This was to be my last episode of this show. However, after this episode I all in. Really good shit.

I'm just glad this article finally bumped that Maggie Gyllenhall / vibrator one from the top spot. As much as I liked imagining that combination, that shit was starting to get uncomfortable.

Saw that too. I'm not sure what that was about.

Chevelle has a couple good songs. Their best is 'an evening with el diablo'

My vote for best coldplay is 'warning sign'

Peggy's choice
I read the Peggy sleeping with mark thing totally different. You said "And, having decided Freddy's pretty much wrong about everything, she ignores his advice and sleeps with Mark by the end of the episode"

It's about 500-$700 in 1964-65 money.

Glenn was a little obsessed with Betty and walked in on her peeing, and it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing.

Indeed. Where else do we learn about the dangers of Uromisotisis poisoning (conclusion: if you don't pee, you get it and DIE.)?
