Yeah, the huge number of different possible planets is really not impressive at all. That's just how procedural generation works. You put together a few different variables of how the levels are generated and suddenly you get massive numbers of possible outcomes, but it doesn't matter at all unless the end result is

Not a roguelike fan then? There's a ton of interesting games that depend on procedural generation, the key is just how interesting the gameplay that their procedural levels enable is. Not the sheer number of different possible levels.
