Respectfully disagree.  Matt and Trey have always been thoughtful re: religion.  See SP episodes like "Go, God, Go" and "All About Mormons."  To me at least, South Park doesn't come across as "pulling punches" but rather a nod to the gray area inherent in this type of subject matter.  And that m.o. strikes me as much…
