Oh —- thank God Myrtle is not dead. Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange and Frances Conroy all together is the most delicious trio since Geraldine Page, Sandy Dennis and Kim Stanley in "The Three Sisters". I could listen to Conroy read the phone book with that Myrtle Snow accent!

No worries, Cindy Birdsong can replace her.

A great beginning which leads absolutely nowhere ( I don't think even Lifetime TV stoops to such cliched endings). BUT, Bening was delicious as the mom so it's worth watching for her alone. I love Wiig and I agree that the script is the culprit. What a waste of many talents.

Thank you for correctly giving credit to the marvelous Helen Merrill. I've read several reviews and comments on line that say It's Peggy Lee. Although Lee did record the song anyone who knows her voice would never confuse it with Merrill's!
As far as the film, it held my attention but I think it could have said so…
