I know this show ended some time ago, but I just finished watching it all the way through. If anyone's still reading these reviews and comments, I must share the one thing that really sticks in my craw:

The virus wasn't going to make the servers run hot, it was the amount of data the virus was tasked to dump onto them. One presumes that every hard drive in the servers was going to be running at full write and read for some time, since the servers were going to be used to create Intersect 3.0 and upload it to Shaw's

I know, this is an ancient and dead review for an off-the-air show, but something in this review is really annoying me…

What did The Almanac fail at again? You don't need electricity to print a map or to frame it. Mechanical printing presses with movable type are pretty common still - albeit mostly sitting around unused -, but for a map you don't even use those… you use woodblock printing.

"I'll kinda buy that one mine set off the other mines but still not sure
why you would set mines to bring down your secret entrance for people to
get in and out of the city."

The gunfight was in old subway tunnels beneath the city.

Flag On the Moon: You're not really a fan of any sort of epic adventure story then, are you? The basic premise of an epic or hero adventure story is starting out with a young naive character and having them find their uniquely noble qualities in how they come to grips with a hard world.

The biggest problem with this show - and I actually rather like the show - seems to me to be that the writers and director(s) are more interested in introducing us to the world than to the characters.

Yeah, the character isn't very likable, but I guess I don't need to like my characters. I don't usually knock an actor or an actress unless they are breaking character or have a very inconsistent performance… or an extremely wooden one.

Does it say something bad about me that I absolutely adore Rachel Matheson being a totally ruthless character?

I don't hate Charlie, and I don't really get where the hate comes from. She's not the greatest actress, far from it, but I've been involved with community theatre for years… I know really bad acting and she's not it. Danny, on the other hand…

1. I doubt the air circulation system for the tunnel was working or even had worked for a long time. The oxygen content of the air was probably pretty low even before the cave-in. So I can buy that scenario, with only a little suspension of disbelief.
