I'm not sure Herzog's response to Ferrara is a "pretty bad burn." It seems disingenuous at best to claim you've never hear of a guy whose movie you are remaking (reimagining, interpreting, whatever).

mbs: Orlando Bloom is terrible in everything, except the LoTR movies.

I agree he was one of the few good things about Troy. I also liked him in Black Hawk Down.

Yes, KB? What is it?

"Music has always been about the single"

Led Zeppelin I, II, III, IV
Houses of the Holy
Physical Graffiti
Abbey Road

Since I've never seen Burn Notice (I know, Bruce Campbell, slacking, I'll get on it), I still think of her as Gabrielle Anwar from Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead.

4 x the prescribed dose?

HHG, that may be a subset of Europe commonly called Amsterdam. I'm not sure you'll find all those things in, say, Slovakia. At least, not all in the same place.

They'd have to be footballers, SMF. They don't play soccer in the rest of the world.

@ Jimmy James: WTF kind of mad scientists do they have working at PEZ? That there is some density manipulation of the highest order.

Gourmet marshmallows are for assholes.
Marshmallows are virtually tasteless, with the exception of Peeps, which taste like fake, stale, sweet air (grossest Easter candy ever).

I read this as a celebration of the lives of these creative and talented people, and therefore actually found it a good deal less depressing than reading about the exploits of the various jackasses who are still inflicting their presence upon us.

Magic, obviously. Because anything is possible in the world of illusion.

Cronenberg is indeed an excellent filmmaker. I think of Dead Ringers and The Fly as companion pieces, one about psychological deterioration and the other about physical deterioration. Haven't seen DR for a while but I'll have to watch it again in anticipation of this write up.

Nor have I, OTP. High five!

Come on, Craig, haven't you ever heard of marginal cost? When I go all you can eat, the goal is to reduce the cost per calorie as low as it can go. Hence stuffing till I'm bloated, followed by the puke-and-rally. Yes!

TWfS, I'd add Army of Darkness, which I like as much as Evil Dead 2.
