No one remembers anything about Attack of the Clones, so we'll have to trust you.

How did you know all the words? Did you rehearse??
This is the best argument I've heard for buying the new album.
This has bothered me for years, but is the lyric near the end of #1 Crush really "I'd sail ships for you"? Is "sail ships" slang for something? I've never been able to hear that without picturing Shirley Manson piloting an 18th century ship-of-the-line through a stormy sea while shouting "This'll make him love me!"
I've thought way too much about this over the years, and while I once agreed with that analysis I've come more and more to think that the story of how Anakin became Vader just works a hell of a lot better as backstory than as an actual story. Vader is great as a sad, frightening cautionary tale for what Luke might…
The "Party Extras" post is a thing of perverse beauty. It sounds like the wistful poem of a freshman creative writing student.
The show itself got unquestionably better from there on out, but I'm not sure if any of the songs ever hit that level. My initial point was going to be that I thought the songs really took a dip in quality during the second half of the season, but as I'm typing this I'm remembering at least a half dozen songs I…
Game Gear is a weird black hole in my gaming past. I owned one and apparently had about fifteen games, but other than Sonic the Hedgehog I can't remember playing a single one of them. Truly the mark of a great system.
When Killam started I was sure he was going to be the breakout star of the next several years. Then he seemed to hover just under that bubble for quite some time before finally sinking down into the "that guy's still on the show?" zone recently. I'm not sure I can think of another cast member that was so clearly…
The "why" usually involves the emerges of "Jerk-ass Homer" who first appeared around the Frank Grimes episode in Season 8. Homer became more openly antagonistic to the other characters and far broader than he was originally, which might have been an inevitable consequence of him getting dumber and dumber as the…
Looks like a great show. Didn't get Supervixen at mine, but they did open with Subhuman, which is a great lead-off song that I don't think I'd heard in decades.
That's true, I'm honestly surprised it got such a wide release. During the first scene the man sitting next to me exclaimed "Aww Christ, this isn't one of them goddamn foreign movies is it??" so I knew I was in for a fun ride from the start.
Good god, I never heard as much in-theater complaining as I did during The Witch. What were people expecting??
I saw them live about a week ago and genuinely wasn't expecting them to be as good as they were. Turned out to be one of the best shows I've seen in ages, and they had twenty times the energy of the much younger opening act. They're so passionate up there that if you didn't know better you'd think you were watching…
Sadly these days I don' think any, any, any, any, any, any, any, any, any, any, anybody knows that the world's a subway, a subway, that the world's a subway. Aieee.
Yeah my family was from York, PA where Live was said to have originated and at the time it was simply inconceivable to say anything bad about them. At the time.
For reasons utterly unknown to me I've decided to play through the old Infogrames Lovecraft adventure games. I'm about 75% of the way through Shadow of the Comet now and dreading every step. The atmosphere and story are great for a game of that era, but it's as unforgiving as the Sierra adventures and has a much…
"From that moment we traveled together. East. Always into the east."
Do you mean the first time you return to Velen after going through the Skellige plot? If so you've got quite a lot of witchering still to come. Since I procrastinated so many side quests, that was about the halfway point for me.
I've always really liked Zelda II, though I never sat down and played it the whole way through until this year. It's difficult, sure, but not in the insane way its reputation would indicate, and the high/low slashing mechanic actually makes for some of the most interesting combat in the series.
