I only mind misogyny in my raps when it's done in a clever, humorous way.

"
Alone, or nearly alone, in a dilapidated tunnel several feet underground, your brain tends to be your own worst enemy. "

"
This doesn't make them stupid"

Because we hate teenage girls?

"teeny bopper-ish"

more like a "nonja"

"Why wouldn't you just use your sword to cut the other guy's rope? "
Because that's not ridiculous enough.  Do you not realize what movie you're watching?

I'm rather surprised by the tepid response this film has been getting.  Honestly I found it engaging, as well as slightly hilarious, how these Yakuza characters constantly stabbed each other in the back.

Dude…what?  There's like only a hundred pages throughout the entire story.  Most of the other pages is reserved for the illustrations.

Aside from "We Found Love" (which has not been able to leave my head since I first heard it), I've never really liked Rihanna.  Primarily, because all her songs sound the same.

This always happens on AV club.  AV rates it and the commentators, being the hipsters they are, rag on the album.

"Why is consequence-free narrative problematic if it leads to a fleshed-out, coherent explication of the readers' emotions?  "

Honestly, I'm not even angry at the franchise anymore.  Any anger I had has since been replaced by a certain amusement over the silliness of sparkling vampires and half-naked werewolves.

I've never understood the whole "it looks like a video game" criticism that I hear so often whenever a film that boasts "style over content" appears.  Unless my neanderthal brain is keeping me from the answer, it sounds like a saying  old, cantankerous people use whenever they need to look down on something.

Isn't that what was expected of this film anyways?  That it would be a good load of dumb?

BUT THAT'S THE JOKE!!!  ISN'T IT FUNNY HOW DISGUSTING HE IS?!!

I really do love the fact that despite being a complete idiot, Archer still shows that he's far more competent than most people realize.  That action scene was fucking amazing.

I guess I wasn't really bothered by the lack of tension within the film since I figured that was kind of the point: it's titillation in its purest form.  It's like watching an exploitation film where the point is for the audience to fully engorge itself on all the sex and violence on screen.

All of my hate…it's yours.

Looking at the criticisms for Childish Gambino, I can't disagree with any of them:  The man isn't that great of a rapper.  With that said, I still find him entertaining because that's what he is:  An entertainer.
