I never got into Lost or M. Night Shyamalan movies but thought this was pretty good and would recommend it. It's like an extended Twilight Zone episode. When 2 percent of the population vanishes and the remaining population all gets their period at the same time, men included.

They could have had a better mix of celebrity vanishees. I mean if more famous assholes vanished people wouldn't be as upset and angry would they? Rush Limbaugh gone. Donald Trump. Dr. Phil gone. Simon Cowell gone. George Will gone.

Person of Interest is good. Elementary is good. Under the Dome … is what it is. (Tomorrow night!)

Wasn't that Berg who greeted the son and the Congressman at the gate to Wayne's compound?

They did make a point of Eccleston handing out leaflets and repeating "This isn't the Rapture. This isn't the Rapture." "I knew so-and-so and she beat her kids."

Nice shadowey-nudey shot of Cameron with 80s music. Quality drama!

Yeah no "quality dramas" but with comedies there's been the IT Crowd and Silicon Valley. With movies there was "The Social Network" which Sorkin was involved with.

I agree that politicians often act like paid corporate lobbyists and then go on to be lobbyists after their political career is over. They often have lobbyists write their legislation for them. Continuum had Vancouver's mayor corrupted by money as well as he was bought by Liber8. I make the same point with my

" but you still can't push forward warrantless NSA wiretapping without something as traumatic as 9/11 happening."

Yeah Kiera and her mother were a little like Michael J. Fox's Alex Keaton and his hippie parents on Family Ties. I'm going to rebel and join the cops!

Okay we'll agree to disagree. Again you raise a great issue about how the government bailed out the entire financial sector in 2008-2009. (And that's what happened, the entire financial system would have gone under because of the panic.)

I remember Tracey from Sanctuary. Ryan Robbins was on that too. Tracey IMDb page says he was in episodes of the X-Files and 21 Jump Street. I remember Victor Webster from Mutant X.

And yet it's not a very satisfying choice. It's a Hobson's choice or a false choice. It's what the dictators in the Middle East say: "either us or the Muslim Brotherhood." It's what the dictators of Central and South America (and other parts of the world) said: "either us or the Communists."

You make a fair point by raising the issue of the NSA revelations (via the Snowden revelations.)

Yes revolutions often end up eating their own children. Just look at the Tea Party.

"That said, Continuum may have missed a beat by focusing all of its cultural criticism on corporations, as the past year’s NSA revelations have made it perfectly clear that non-corporate governments are perfectly capable of setting up massive surveillance states. "

Continuum is so wonderful. What a great finale. When Ryan Robbins and Rachel Nichols set off the time beacon and all of the power went out after a delay … so cool.

Clinton wrote up the Patriot act After Oklahoma City and put it on the shelf. They just took it off the shelf after 9/11 and passed it. 9/11 was the pretext. Same with Iraq. 9/11 was the pretext since Saddam wasn't involved. The region was already a mess.

I do think I'm rational. I think your head is in the sand regarding how the corporate media works or doesn't work. It's nothing that conspiratorial. Just watch Jon Stewart, John Oliver or Colbert mock it. Take for instance school shootings. Now it's not a big deal and the media is like "meh." Before, a shooting in the

Yes that camera in her room is bad news. And then the captain has cameras all over the place. The one did help them catch the bomber though.
