While the Westerosi may see democratic elections as an improvement over their current situation, just wait till they have to endure campaign season.

This is an interesting theory. Maybe this somehow will end up serving as a sort of prequel to the original series? Hm.
Yeah, didn't she get up, go to the other room, and come back 2 or 3 times? Creepy stuff. Though I thought that scene went on a bit too long.
I've been wondering if somehow Coop is going to end up knowingly and happily accepting his new life as a husband and father. There are worse fates the character could have than to end up happily retiring as a family man after everything he's been through.
Obviously, Dougie is bound to start up a new line of women's fur coats and accessories, called "Douglas Furs". Calling it now.
The creepiest scene this episode. We were scrutinizing the shot, and at one point my gf is like, "Is that someone in the window?!?!" It wasn't, but I was on edge that whole scene. I was anticipating a jump scare or something.
I agree. Last week's was intolerable. This was a marked improvement, but I still found myself compelled to start flipping around on my iPad during the second half. I won't say anything about Lynch "trolling", but I do find his tendencies with this season to be a tad INDULGENT. I can't just focus on the show when…
Yeah, as soon as you see one dragon obliterate an entire army, I'd say you kind of need at least ONE of them to be taken down.
I agree, but I'm not putting any money on him making it to the end the season alive. He's either gonna die heroically, or make a final pivot and get his just deserts. It seems like he has to be the one to have a final confrontation with Cersei.
It's also hard to root or an inhuman engine of destruction. The framing was very effective…like soldiers versus a nuclear weapon. "Sides" were irrelevant in that moment…the Lannister soldiers were just people doing a job. Maybe if Cersei were there I'd have felt differently, but even then, I'm not sure.
A.
So what you're saying is, she's bringing sexy Bach?
Yeah, that's nonsense. Thanks for saving me the trouble of reading the article.
Temple of Doom is great. It just happens to end after 15 minutes or so.
What a coincidence. Balls have zero to me, also! You and me, robot!
Does Cersei have any advisors at this point? All of the other major players seem to have someone on their team helping steer the ship (Dany has Tyrion and Varys, Jon and Davos and Sam, even Sansa has Littlefinger), but I realized I can't think of anyone advising Cersei other than maybe her brother. Maybe Qyburn.
My concern is that I'm going to start hearing stuff in the soundtrack that makes it too "modern". Which is a weird thing to be worried about in a futuristic sci-fi soundtrack, but there was a certain palette Vangelis used, which was perfect. It would be easy to dig up new synth sounds, but I'm afraid they'll feel…
The guy obviously knows how to direct. There are plenty of conversations that take place that seem "normal" in their pacing. So it's not like he doesn't know what he's doing. I would tend to chalk it up to an attempt at humor, but even then, I don't find it terribly successful. Occasionally, sure. But he loses me…
Ugh. I feel like Lynch is either intentionally padding the episodes in order to deliver 18 one-hour installments, or just deliberately fucking with the audience. It's tiresome. I start each episode interested, and start tuning out halfway in. I swear they could fit the actual plot in half the time.
Hm. I actually like a lot of his work, but it doesn't really strike me as "Vangelis-ey". Truth be told, I kinda just want this score to sound like the original.
