DVD Fab works great for me, I've ripped about 750 DVDs so far, no DRM issues at all… I store them on external hard drives and use MediaCenter to catalog/watch them.

Why is everyone calling it purgatory, when everyone was generally happier in the flash sidewayses? Sure some bad stuff happened, but their lives overall were better.

One of the reasons I prefer the Mike years is because there were so many more jokes as time went on. Seriously, watch some of the really early eps - minutes will go by where no one says a word.
Also I think the writing improved each year… so I guess I don't necessarily prefer the mike character over the Joel…
