The frustrating thing with this show, and the reason why I stopped watching, is that the reveals move the plot sideways instead of moving them forward.  We learn new things about stuff we didn't real care about or even really wonder about instead of learning new things that actually concern the fate of the characters

I've completely given up watching this show, but I hope your reviews are as entertaining as todd's.

I think the fact that nothing in the episode stuck out as terrible is masking the fact that nothing in the episode really made any sense.  I'd give it a C+.

I bailed on this a while ago.  Did they ever stop with the conversations between Max and Caroline that went like this?

I'm sending my love down the well.

San Dimas Highschool Football rules.

so um, hows things?

Just doing my part to get to 10K.

The show seems to be sticking with a structure of goofy first half and a sentimental second half, but since the narrative never leaves the story line of either Caroline or Max or both, the shifts in tone become very noticeable and jarring to me.  If they could cut to a B story line, the transitions would work better.

My apologies to Todd. I should have said, in my opinion instead of you have to.

I watched this episode because of your review.  I can see the things you see in this show, but you have to stop rating the episodes on potential.  It's surely possible the show can get better, but right now, it's just not funny and there are only two real characters.  What the show really needs is for these characters

You might think that, but I watched the pilot, and the character comes off more like someone who needs real psychological help.  It was more sad than funny.
