I disagree with this review. I thought this was a fine episode, one that took a specific direction toward refining the characters, the premise and the setting (in other words, the "sit" part of the "sitcom").

I am convinced that Tyce Diorio sits at home and studies Debbie Allen's facial expressions so that he can use them when it comes his turn on the judging panel.

In your headline, please put the word "functional" in quotes. My app still freezes after the orange ring forms. Nothing is clickable, not even the splash-screen ad for the new IFC game show "Mope," or whatever.

I was beginning to think that if this review had gone on for a couple more paragraphs, PD-N would have begun referring to every character on the show as John.
But they actually showed someone (I thought it was Burt) handing the kid some money.
Especially loved Azaria's timing and takes in the bench scene.
Did I miss something? Did they explain how Burt got the money to bribe the kid to tell Virginia he'd been kidnapped, when all he had to give Virginia in the first place was $1.13? Or did Jack give the kid the money? Am I at all in danger of overthinking this?
Stopped watching Glee, partly because of Sue, mostly because of writers who do not care about their viewers. Relying on TVDW's recaps to give me an indication of when, if ever, it might be safe to return.
Yes, more please.
We bailed on this pilot midway, it was so disappointingly unfunny.
If Crowe doesn't wear the matador outfit in the movie, I'm asking for my money back now.
Sad season of choreography
While the caliber of contestants remained high this season, the caliber of choreography was way down. Thankfully some of the guest judges (JTF, NPH, Gaga) were not too intimidated to call them on it. It was sad to see several dancers this season called on the carpet for the crime of doing…
Kent and Lauren
Oliver, agreed with everything except what you said about the magic being lost when the performers aren't dancing for competition. If anything, Kent and Lauren brought more passion (and magic) to their performance last night than in the original competition piece. Plus, I think there was tongue…
Wacky Heidi
My prediction is that in the latter half of the season, taped after the Emmy nominations, Heidi will become even wackier than usual, and more visible. Look for her to make a few more designer-room visits with Tim. She'll visit the designers at their apartments. She'll probably pump out a couple more kids…
Yes, with all due respect to Donna, great job, Oliver!
NPH? JTF!
— While NPH was in good form and classy as always, Jesse Tyler Ferguson was a more entertaining judge and, I felt, had more constructive things to say during his tenure.
— NPH deserves some sort of Congressional commendation, however, for stating aloud evidence of what every member of the SYTYCD viewing…
Also not to be that guy…
…but it was Charlton Comics, not Charleston.
