Taming of the Claire
Enjoyed the episode, but I still hope that the writers will do something to convince me that Claire will not eventually turn into a carbon copy of her mother, flip out entirely and flee the family "looking for herself," or, even worse, take an ax and kill everyone as they sleep. That's how much of

Adios, folks
This episode of Glee will be my last, and it's mainly because of Sue. She's supposed to be a character who's so mean she's funny. But throwing a man down two flights of stairs and then making a wisecrack about his brain injury is not funny. Her sadistic public humiliation of Will was not funny. I could

John Wayne Somebody. (not Gacy, I'm sure)

Interruptus
While I thought Nick Fink's eventual display of petulance to be a real buzz kill, I did think (a thought obviously shared by Nick) that Randy cut him off too soon. At first he was polite in his dismissal, but then apparently realized that perhaps he had been treated a little unfairly, and his commandeering

Your honor, the prosecution rests
Once again a "Glee" episode serves as evidence that the better "Glee" episodes are those with little or no Sue Sylvester.

Also…
"I WANT TO BE INVITED TO YOUR CRAP!"

Waste of a good host
Totally an F.

Right said Fred
I don't think it's asking to much, on a show called "The Ricky Gervais Show," for the character to actually look a little like Ricky Gervais. Gervais' voice coming from this generic, shaggy-haired clip-art cartoon guy makes this show virtually unwatchable for me, particularly as a big fan of the

Seeing as how the cold open was merely Armisen talking to a camera about a subject that was, to be sure, somewhat inside baseball, I'm wondering if SNL had another cold open planned, but decided to scrap it and toss in the Bloomberg bit because the original, probably more political bit, might have appeared in bad

I'm just pulling this out of my butt, but I have a feeling that the amusement park ride sketch was written by the same person(s) who did the French teenage dance film parody earlier in the season when Emma Stone was host. Both had the same flavor of weird-ass, WTF comedy that caused them to stand out from the usual

As much as I loved both series, I'm happy there will never be a "Doctor Who"/"Sherlock" crossover. They need to remain in their own respective universes.

Good review, Todd
Tonight's episode is an example of how "Cougar Town" and its makers are both fearless and brilliant. In the hands of lesser, cowardly sitcom hacks, Bobby would have missed the final putt but looked up at his friends and said, "It's OK, because I still have all of you!" and he would have stayed a

Leave Claire alone!
You guys leave Claire Dunphy alone!

Glee has completely lost it
I'll continue to watch Glee, but it has careened off the rails to the point that it defies any attempt at rational analysis. Watching the episodes this season is like watching a different pilot for a different new series each week, all the pilots featuring characters with the same names.

Am I the only one
who saw the title of this episode and thought of the series "CHiPs"? Yeah? OK, never mind then.

The two getting out of the DoD complex didn't bother me — Broyles could have used the old "don't worry, I have the prisoner in custody" trick — but I had a difficult time believing that they were in so much of a hurry to get from NY to Boston that they couldn't pause for a few minutes to get Olivia some street

No Sue = More enjoyable episode
"Instead, it's just a nice little moment of meta-commentary from a show that at least seems to acknowledge it has some problems from time to time."

Ye gads …
This episode was a mighty tsunami of suck.

All praise Donald Glover
This episode gets an A if for no other reason than Troy's reaction to "Halloween."

I can't help but think …
If this show, word for word and scene for scene, had been made by someone else besides Mitchell Hurwitz and starred actors without any connection to "Arrested Development," I'm convinced that A.V. Club wouldn't have gotten near it.
